Summer seems to be in full swing! Kids are finishing up with school and everyone has great weather on their mind!
This time of year, there seems to be no shortage of awesome events. A few have caught my eye for this weekend.
On Saturday, the Morton Grove Public Library will be hosting Magic by Randy from 2:00PM-3:00PM. The event is free!
In Northbrook, St. Norbert's Block Party will be on Saturday from 3:00PM-10:30PM. There will be music and food. From 3:00PM-5:30PM, there will be a Kid's Corner with inflatables, face painting and games. The cost is $5 until 7PM and $10 after 7PM. Check here for more info.
On June 10th is the F.A.B. 5k in Arlington Heights. The race was inspired by a local mother and benefits the BCRF. It is a inspirational way that the community has come together for a great cause. Please check our previous post for registration information. The race begins at 9AM at Patton Elementary School.
Creatively Caring and the Chicago Russian Riders will be holding a food drive in Mundelein on June 10th from 9AM-10AM. Kids will have an opportunity to take pictures with bikes while donating to a great cause!
Also on Sunday, Palatine Stables will be hosting a free open house from 11AM-3PM. There will be free pony rides, stable tours and demonstrations. This sounds like a great time for all of those horse-lovers out there!
From 11AM-3PM on Sunday, the Glenview Park District will be holding its Get Out and Go Treasure Hunt. During this free family event, kids can earn stamps by answering questions about nature discoveries made along their walk.
Capinnari's in Mount Prospect will have a concert in the park from 6PM-8PM on June 10th. Ice cream and a concert--what a nice way to cap off a summer weekend!
