Summer is rapidly flying by, so I am sure a lot of you are scrambling to pack as much in as you can. I know that we are in my house! As another weekend approaches, I am busy coming up with a plan to maximize our remaining summer days.
This week/weekend there are a number of neat activities in our area.
August 1-5 Northbrook will be hosting Northbrook Days at the Village Green Park. The festivities will include music, rides, a special wine tasting and a grand raffle. To purchase raffle tickets or tickets for the wine tasting, check here. Some of the funds generated will be donated so please check with the website for further details.
On August 3rd, Foglia YMCA in Lake Zurich will have a Rockin' Climbin' Open Climb event starting at 6:30PM. The event is free for participants ages 5 and older. Parental consent will be necessary for children.
Also on August 3rd, there will be a Turtle Trek Race at Twin Lakes in Palatine. The race starts at 6:30PM and you can adopt a turtle for $5 to be entered in the race. There will be prizes. You do need to register for the event. There will also be live music starting at 7:30PM.
There will be a Children's Health Fair at Cooper Middle School in Buffalo Grove on August 4th from 9:15AM-11:45PM. The event is free and will have many local businesses present.
If you are heading to the Morton Arboretum on August 4th, Lulu the Ladybug will be visiting the gift shop from 11AM-1PM. There will also be treats and crafts! The Morton Arboretum is always a fun time with plenty to do, so check it out!
