A Fresh Family Dinner at Moe's: Review and {Giveaway} 2/18/13

After seeing Moe's Southwest Grill pop up in our area, I put it on my must-try list. I love, love, love burrito bowls and fresh salsa--so, trying out Moe's was a no-brainer for me. Additionally, they make their food fresh and have 20+ fresh ingredients to create your dish. This is definitely a plus for someone looking for a quick meal in an overprocessed world. Moe's is focused on providing customers with the best possible ingredients that are fresh and cater towards different dietary needs.

Recently, I was  given the opportunity to visit Moe's, try their fresh food, and report back to you! Last week, my family and I visited the Moe's in Schaumburg, Illinois and enjoyed our dinner experience. We were actually a little overwhelmed when we first looked at the menu. There are a lot of choices and combinations! Everything is assembled right before you, so you get to see and pick exactly what you will be eating. My husband and I opted to share a burrito bowl. Moe's was so accommodating that we were able to put different ingredients on each side of the bowl. We also were given a dollop of guac without an extra charge. Nice!

Look at our burrito bowl!

With every meal, you also get some salsa and chips. Moe's has a fresh salsa bar where you can choose salsas for your chips and meal. I think this is a nice touch. Here is a peek at the salsa bar:

How about some chips with that salsa?

The salsas all tasted very fresh. We are big fans of the green salsas! Some had a really big kick!

Much to my daughter's delight, Moe's has a kid's meal option. The kid's meal includes a kid's burrito, quesadilla, or taco along with a drink and a fresh, all-natural cookie. My daughter ordered the quesadilla. She was very excited when it came to choosing a beverage. Moe's has one of those cool Coca-Cola Freestyle machines where you can pick a beverage from a ton of choices. She was a big fan.

We loved our meal at Moe's. The only complaint was that the rice was a little plain, but no biggie. It makes it easier to blend in with all of the other flavors!

We were especially happy with all of the choices at Moe's. This gave us the ability to cater our meal to our tastes and diet preferences. (We can each be picky in our own right, so this is a great plus.)

Do you want to try Moe's for yourself? Moe's was nice enough to send us a $5 gift card to share with one of our lucky readers. The giveaway is open to US residents 18-years-old and older. The giveaway will end on 2/18/13. The winner be notified by email and will have 48 hours to respond or the prize will be forfeited. To enter our giveaway, please enter the rafflecopter below:
