From the beginning, my daughter was swept up in the excitement. (Hooray!) The crowd got going when the trucks all came out to make their first appearance in the bright lights.
The competitions--wheelie contest, races, and freestyle--provided great theatrics. My daughter was particularly enthralled with the freestyle competition.
She also enjoyed cheering on her favorites during the races. The trucks were all unique and interesting to look at. Her favorites were the Gravedigger and Zombie.
The show consisted of two halves with a brief intermission. The intermission was perfectly placed, after the races and before the freestyle. The little breather gave you time to get refreshments. If your kiddos are really into Monster Jam, there are plenty of goodies to buy to remember their special day.
In addition to all of the action, Monster Jam does a good job of interacting directly with the crowd. The kids got to hear from the drivers. Cool! Some of them tossed gifts to the crowd. Super cool!
The Allstate Arena is an excellent venue. It is easy to find and navigate. Every time I have been there, I have been able to find my seats easily and found refreshments, restrooms, etc. quickly.
