Wednesday Weekend Windup
Here are some events to keep you busy over this long weekend:
Friday, February 15
Nibbles' Play Cafe is having its annual Family Valentine's Party from 5:30PM-8:00PM. There will be food (of course!), Valentine's crafts, and face painting. Kick! Productions will be on hand playing games, making balloon creations, and more. The event is $10 per adult and $10 per 1st child, $8 per additional child. Registration is requested. Register via the website.
Partner Yoga sounds like affordable fun for older kids and adults. It will be head at Park Center Group Fitness Studio in Glenview from7PM-8PM. Bring a partner to learn interactive poses! This is for ages 14 and up and costs $5 pp.
Saturday, February 16
Magic by Randy, Indian Trails Public Library, Wheeling, 11:00AM-11:45AM, free!
Learn how to make a Valentine like sailors did at the Sailor Valentine Craft event at the Great Lakes Naval Museum from 1:00PM-3:00PM. You can craft a Valentine like the sailors used to--out of shells! Free!
Sunday, February 17
Take in Alice in Wonderland at the Des Plaines Public Library from 2:00PM-3:00PM. Emerald City will be acting out the tale on Sunday. We saw the same production at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library and the girls loved it! I did not see a note about registering but call 847-376-2804 to be sure. The event its free!
There will be a Two Owls and a Naturalist event at River Trail Nature Center in Northbrook from 1:30PM-2:30PM. Visit with two resident owls for free!
Monday, February 18
The Fabulous Fable Factory will be at Cutting Hall in Palatine at 10:30AM. A young boy stumbles upon a factory. He trips a lever that activates the factory of fable makers and learns why the factory has been idle. Tickets are $6 and can be ordered at http://www.cuttinghall.org/.
How about getting active at the President's Day Skate at Orbit Skate Center in Palatine from 1PM-4PM? The cost is $5.50 per person, including admission and skate rental.
The River Trail Nature Center will be having Two Owls and a Naturalist again from 1:30PM-2:30PM for free!
