Raspberry Kale Smoothie {Munchie Monday}

Kat and I had a great kale smoothie last week (story about that to come next week). After that, I became inspired to make one of my own. I scanned the internet for ideas and found a recipe that used raspberries. Since I am a raspberry fanatic, this recipe immediately appealed to me. Fast forward to the day when I am ready to make said smoothie and I cannot locate the recipe. Figures. Good thing I remembered enough of the recipe to make a great smoothie. Here is what I came up with:

Ingredients:

1 cup kale
1/2 bag of frozen raspberries
1/2 apple, chopped
1 lemon, juiced
1/4 cup water

Directions:

Place the kale, apple and lemon juice in the food processor. Blend until you have room for the remaining ingredients. Blend in the raspberries and water until smooth. Very easy!

I personally cannot drink a big smoothie. So, I kept mine in a glass container in the fridge. It should keep about three days. You also can freeze it.  I love this smoothie because it is an easy way to have kale without all of the bitterness.
