Sisters Giving Hope: Children Making a Difference {Special Event November 26}

Saturday, November 23, 2013

I just learned about Sisters Giving Hope this week and wanted to give them a little shout out. In this time of giving, your heart will surely be warmed by what these young girls are doing! I hope to do something a little more in depth in the future. However, they have an event coming up this Tuesday and I wanted to post a little something to help them spread the word.

Sisters Giving Hope was started by an inspirational group of sisters with the purpose of making jewelry to sell in support of area families in need. Although their mission was just started this year, the young girls have already helped several families. This holiday seasons, Sisters Giving Hope is helping Rosie, a nine-year-old with an inoperable brain tumor, and her family. They will be raising money to purchase items off of the family's wishlist as well as have some left over for the family's other expenses. They want to make it the best Christmas ever for this deserving family!

One look at Sisters Giving Hope's Facebook page and you will be impressed by what these girls have achieved and how they have motivated the community around them. It is refreshing to see such compassion in the community around us.

Sisters Giving Hope has an event coming up this Tuesday {November 26} which will give other children an opportunity to help with their mission. The event is from 1PM-4PM at the Salt Creek Park District Building in Palatine. Here are the details from their Facebook page:

We are having a LOOM PARTY hosted by Sisters Giving Hope. Here your child will enjoy the company of friends while working hard to make as many loom bracelets as we can. Sisters Giving Hope will provide ALL the bands to create the beautiful bracelets. Sisters Giving Hope will then sell these bracelets to raise money for our selected deserving family.

You child will need to bring their LOOM (no rubberbands, and no kit boxes. Just loom makers please) and $4. The $4 will get your child a peanut free snack and drink & 1 take-home Sisters Giving Hope Keychains
.
We have done 2 of these this year and all the kids had a blast! There is nothing better than kids singing to music and laughing while working hard for such an amazing cause. Sisters Giving Hope has huge plans for their future and you are helping with their success. Invite your friends. Space is limited to 50 kids. Please RSVP via facebook in the "COMMENT SECTION" so I can get a head count. Thank you!

Date: Tuesday, November 26th (Thanksgiving vaca!)
Time: Open House 1-4pm (You can drop off your child or stay. We will have a sign in sheet for contact info in case of emergency) Your child can come any time within these hours and stay as long or as short as they would like.

Salt Creek Park District,
530 S Williams Ave, Palatine, IL 60074

If your child would like to attend, you must RSVP on Facebook because space is limited. Be sure to check out Sisters Giving Hope's Facebook page to see the amazing things these girls are doing and definitely give them a like for all of the hard work they are doing!
