Wednesday Weekend Windup: {Fall Fun for a Little Break}

We are all back in the swing of things but this weekend will provide some escapes that will allow you to shake off some of that work and school stress! The weather *looks* wonderful this weekend, so I do recommend a hike if you have the opportunity. Check out our Hiking in the Suburbs list for some ideas. We were out at Crabtree Nature Center in Barrington last weekend--it was beautiful!

Of course, there are a number of fun events in the area to take advantage of. Here are our picks for fun this weekend:

Swing into fall at Apple Fest in Long Grove Friday through Sunday. Enjoy all sorts of apple treats and listen to live music while enjoying the festival. Tickets are $5 per person at the door, 12 and under are free. You can buy 2 tickets for $8 online. This festival does get a bit busy but Long Grove is definitely wonderful to walk around on a fall day. There may be a fee for parking depending on where you park.

  1. Was planning on hitting up the Northbrook Autumn Fest! I'm kind of sad that the Robot Petting Zoo is during naptime. My son would probably like that!
