Wednesday Weekend Wind Up: {Plenty of Weekend Fun!}

Over the past week, I have been enjoying the sprinkle of snowflakes. I am truly not a winter girl but they have been pretty graceful. Hopefully, the whole winter will be this way!

ROAD TRIP IDEA: Kenosha Public Museum's Little House on the Prairie Sunday's Fun Day November 23, learn about the importance of music on the prairie, learn about the chores Laura would be expected to do, try churning butter, check out illustrator Renee Graef's exhibit (Renee illustrated some of the My First Little House books), 1PM-4PM, free admission!

Friday, November 21

Winter Lights Festival, Aurora, 5:00PM-9:00PM, Christkindlmarket, music, art, train rides, ice sculpting, fireworks, reindeer, holiday parade, fireworks, free!

Lapidary Day, Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, Elmhurst, 10AM-4PM, artists and demos from the West Suburban Lapidary Club, great way to see art in action, also check out the museum's rock and mineral as well as lapidary and gemstone collections, free admission!

Holiday Happenings, Ice House Mall, Barrington, 11AM-3PM Girl Scout Games, cookies and crafts; Language Stars story time at 12:30PM

Kids Yoga Class, Viva-Ki Yoga, Arlington Heights, 11:30AM-12:30PM, $10 per child, packages available (check schedule before leaving in case of cancellation)

Young Family Skate, Orbit Skate Center, Palatine, 11AM-1PM, time for those 12 and under (and parents) to skate, stroller skating permitted as well, great for new skaters, admission $5.50 and skate rental free!
