ROAD TRIP IDEA: The Big Chill in Racine, Wisconsin will feature Wisconsin's Snow Sculpting Championship, Ice Carving, Snowboarding, Skiing and more! The event is January 9-11.

Winter Carnival, Meadowhill Park, Northbrook, 11AM-1:30PM, campfire with s'mores, snowshoe course, snow painting, dog sled demo, horse-drown trolley, games, food trucks, face paintings, more, free!
Winter Exploration Days, Thatcher Woods, River Forest, 12PM-4PM, family fun winter activities, hikes, snowshoeing, cross county skiing, sledding (all weather permitting), crafts, campfire and more, free
Winterfest, Centennial Ice Arena, Highland Park, 2:30PM-4:30PM, free indoor/outdoor festival, bounce in gymnastics studio, try figure skating and hockey, free group skating lessons, crafts, carriage rides, meet wildlife and snowshoeing (weather permitting)

Winterfest at Volo Bog, 12PM-4PM, snow sculpting contest, kids crafts, bog tours, live music, fun in and out, free but donations welcome!
Wonderful Winter Wildlife, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 1:30PM-2:30PM, see how native wildlife cope with winter, free, stay to see feeding of wildlife at 3:00PM
