Wednesday Weekend Windup {Happy Halloween!}


BOO! Time for all of those ghosts and goblins to come out of hiding! Soon, it will be Halloween Night! Of course, there are plenty of fun events for this weekend!
Ongoing:

July 17-Nov 1, 2015 Nature Connects: Lego with Art by Sean Kenney, Morton Arboretum, amazing lego structures honoring nature, 27 figures, free with admission, $14 per adult, $12 seniors 65+, $9 kids 2-17, under 2 free

September 1-October 31 Amaze N Apples at Royal Oak Farm Orchard in Harvard--a fall maze with a spin--it is made from apple trees! Check out this farm for apple picking, family fun activities including the maze, a bakery and more! Check website for hours, open daily September and October.

Also, Richardson Corn MazeStade's Shades of Autumn and Didier Farm's Pumpkin Fest. We love all of them!

Friday, October 30:

October 30 Trick-or-Treat, Downtown Arlington Heights, 3PM-6PM, trick-or-treat at participating businesses, some have activities as well, free

October 30 Boo Bash, North Park, Lincolnshire, 4PM-9PM, costume parade, bounce house, magic show, mad science, haunted trail, food trucks and more, $5 per person

October 30 Boo-nanza, Community Recreation Center, Wheeling, 4PM-7PM, for kids 10 and under, decorate a pumpkin, hayrides, spooky stories, costume contest, more, free

October 30 Scary Stories, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 6:45PM, hear scary stories around a campfire, enjoy campfire snacks, $2 pp, must register by 10/30, call 847-824-8360

October 30 Hayrides and Family Movie Night, Cantigny Park, Wheaton, 4PM, hayrides around the park, watch "Monster House" in the Visitor Center Theater, $2 parking, free admission

October 31 Creepy, Crawly Scavenger Hunt, Morton Arboretum 11AM-2PM, meet fantasy characters & participate in scavenger hunt, costumes encouraged, play tricky games, complete fall crafts, paint a pumpkin (small fee), kids get in free, $14 per adult, $12 seniors 65+

October 31 Halloween Party, Community Center, Palatine, 9:30AM-12PM, geared towards kids ages 1-10, carnival games, craft table, ghoulish goodies, cold blooded creatures show at 10AM, puppet show fun throughout morning, free
