ROAD TRIP: Check out Kenosha on December 5: International Market & Holiday Festival at Kenosha Public Museum, Holiday Train Display at Kenosha Public Museum, Victorian Christmas at Civil War Museum, FREE,11AM-3PM(til 3:30 at Civil War Museum), the holiday celebration at Jelly Belly in Pleasant Prairie is nearby as well

Ongoing:
  • November 20-January 2 Illumination at the Morton Arboretum, daily 5PM-9:30PM (last entry 8:30PM) EXCEPT Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the following Mondays: November 23, November 30, December 7, and December 14, amazing interactive light experience in the trees and woven in nature, ticket prices vary upon day, see website for more information, one of our favorite events of the year!

  • December 5-6 Winter Wonderland, Frisbee Senior Center, Des Plaines, 10AM-4PM, crafts, model trains, music, dancing, walk around characters, holiday bazaar, face painting, games and more, free!
  • December 5 Winterfest, Oak Park, 11AM-3PM, cookie walk, live entertainment, activities, Santa, $20 pp for cookie walk (while supplies last), cookie walk includes tin & map for 45 participating merchants/restaurants, see website for more info
