When I travel, I enjoy discovering items that are made locally and picking up a treasure or two to bring home. Through the years, I have enjoyed cobbling together a home full of these keepsakes from our travels--each item with a unique story all its own. Years ago, I stumbled on Norton's U.S.A. which is a store in my own backyard selling items only made in the U.S.A. Quickly, I fell in love with the Christmas decor. I found each item to be exquisite and so skillfully made each with a story. So, I bought a few items and quickly I began adding more and more holiday items each year. During the past two years, my favorite Christmas ornaments by far have been the Ginger Cottages which are made in central Virginia. Each design is incredibly intricate and encompasses little holiday secrets to be discovered! They are amazing as stand-alones or your can create your own village. Each can be lit up with a small light bulb to reveal more secrets. Just amazing!

The glass icicles made in Maine are also a perennial favorite of mine. Gorgeous on a tree or in a window! I actually hang mine in a window all year round--the way they catch the light never fails to put a smile on my face. Priced at $13.95, they also make for a great gift!

Gift boxes, tags, suncatchers and more--so many holiday baubles!

One of my very first purchases was of a box of glass ball ornaments. The ornaments delicate and quite graceful on the tree.

Over the past year, I have been enamored with the art of local artist Rozanne Priebe! She makes wonderful seasonal scenes, great for putting that timely accent in any room!

Really, there are so many treasures at Norton's that a visit is an adventure in itself! While I do keep up to date with new products, I always find something new there myself!
