JD's Q and Brew in Arlington Heights, IL

**Disclosure: No compensation was received for this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

Whenever in a pinch for a meal, we often find ourselves at JD's Q and Brew in Arlington Heights. Truth be told, when it first opened several years ago we found it to be a joint for a decent meal but not the top of our list. Over the past two years, we have noticed improvement and now visit a little more often.

JD's is known for its barbecue which I can say that this family quite enjoys. However, the vast menu sports something for everyone and allows you to be as healthy or *unhealthy* as you want. I love this because some days I am a bit more conscious about what I eat and others I allow an indulgence.

Barbecue Chicken Dinner at JD's
One of my faves--the Barbecue Chicken dinner. It also comes with a potato (or another side). So much food!
I have ordered the half chicken, tilapia and grilled shrimp dinners before and have found them to be more than enough. The dinners come with a little salad on the side and one or two side dishes depending. My husband generally opts for the pulled pork. My daughter tried the ribs during our last visit. We have been satisfied with size and flavors of our meals.

JD's is a fast casual restaurant, so you order at the counter and a server will bring the meal out to you. Even though I have not partaken yet, I love that they have wine (and beer of course) as an option. Every day has a special, so check those out.

If you are looking for a quickish family meal but don't want fast food, keep JD's in mind!
