Illumination lights up nature at the Morton Arboretum this holiday!

  • November 25-December 27 It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, Metropolis, Arlington Heights, $30 per person, $15 per student, see website for more info
  • November 25-December 30 Festival of Lights Cosley Zoo Wheaton; 3PM-9PM, 20,000 twinkling lights transform the zoo with displays; Christmas tree sale as well; free; closed Christmas Eve and Christmas
  • November 25-January 2 Wonderland Express, Chicago Botanic Garden, Glencoe, Ticket Price Member/Nonmember: Adults:  $11/$13 Seniors 62+: $8/$10 Children 3 - 12: $8/$10 Children 2 and under are free. Tuesdays are half-price  Half-price Tuesdays are sponsored by Grainger.   • November 25 Tree Lighting, North School Park, Arlington Heights, 4PM-9PM, live music & entertainment, tree lighting, free trolley 4PM-8PM to museum to see Festival of Wreaths, complimentary glow sticks, free
  • November 25 Festival of Lights Parade Crystal Lake; 7PM-8PM; kick off the holiday season with a light parade; free

  • November 27 Feeder Watching, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook,at 10:00AM and 1:30PM, enjoy watching birds from inside, beginners welcome, free
