Open Brick Tech at Arlington Heights Memorial Library: December 20 10:30AM-12:00PM, use LEGO We Do Kits to make a model and see it move, for those in 3rd grade and up, drop in

Youth and Adult Dance Day at Glenview Park District: December 20 -- variety of age groups, please check website

Mad Cap Puppets Presents: Monkey See, Monkey Do at Arlington Heights Memorial Library: December 22 10:30AM-11:30AM; for those 5 and up; must register -- card not needed

Winter Break Nature Drop-In Days at River Trail Nature Center in Northbrook: December 27, 28, 29, January 3, 4 and 5 at 1PM; kids will explore something new each day.

"Bone" Appetit at Trailside Museum of Natural History in River Forest: December 27 & 29 at 1PM, see naturalist feed outdoor resident animals and learn about them; afterwards check out the museum.

Turtle Drop-In Time at Trailside Museum of Natural History in River Forest: December 28 at 1PM-2:30PM, learn about resident turtles, meet a turtle and make a turtle craft.

The Shoemaker and the Elves & The Night Before Christmas Puppet Shows at the Glen Town Center Glenview: December 28 11AM-11:45AM; must register online

Family Theater -- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at the Barrington Area Library: December 29 at 2PM, drop in but those with Barrington Area Library cards given preference.

Hawk Tales at Trailside Nature Museum in River Forest: January 4 at 1PM -- learn about hawks and meet a red tailed hawk.

Winter Breakout Adventure at Camp Reinberg in Palatine: January 5 12PM-5PM; all sorts of winter activities including sledding and snowshoeing depending on snow, call for more info
