Friday, October 27:

Saturday, October 28:
  • October 28 Bootiful Saturday, Elmhurst, free showing of Minions at 9:30AM, trick-or-treating, crafts and more

  • October 28 Boo-palooza, Downtown Wheaton, 10AM-1PM, hayrides, trick-or-treat and more, free
  • October 28 Halloween Hoopla, Des Plaines, a variety of events around town, free
  • October 28-29 Pumpkin Weekends, Blackberry Farm, Aurora, 11AM-4PM, hayrides, train rides, seasonal crafts, decorate a pumpkin ($3) and more, $7 pp, ages 2 and under are free, $3 additional fee for pumpkin
  • October 28-29 Tricks or Trees, Morton Arboretum, Children's Garden, 11AM-4PM, tricky games, crafts, paint a pumpkin for a small fee, plant a seed to take home, free with admission to arboretum, costumes encouraged
  • October 28 Dia de los Muertos, Des Plaines History Center, 11AM-4PM, altar competition, paint sugar skulls, face painting, $3 per child, $2 
  • October 28 Fall Fest and Trick-or-Treat, Deer Park Town Center, Kildeer, 12PM-3PM, trick-or-treating, face painting, pumpkin painting, stilt walker and more
  • October 28 Great Pumpkin Hunt, Raupp Museum, Buffalo Grove, 11:30AM-12:30PM, $10 resident/ $13 non, pumpkin decorating, hunt for pumpkin eggs, must register
  • October 28 Family Fun Halloween Party at Abt, Glenview, 12PM-4PM, crafts, treats and more, feel free to come in costume, free
  • October 28 Waukegan Halloween Fest, Bowen Park, Waukegan, 1PM-5PM, trick-or-treat trail, zombie zumba, wagon rides and much more, free
  • October 28 Itasca Halloween Celebration, Springbrook Nature Center, Itasca, 1PM-3PM, pony rides, pumpkin decorating and more, nonperishable food donation recommended, $1 donation per child
  • October 28 Art Harvest, Downtown Elgin, 1PM-4PM, unveiling of public art pieces, art hunt, pumpkin painting, inside out haunted house, trick-or-treating and more, free
  • October 28 & 29 The Un-haunted Forest, River Trail, Northbrook, 1:30PM, enjoy a special hike in your costume, cost $1 per child, must register
  • October 28 Nightlife - The Return of Scary Stories, River Trail, Northbrook, 7PM, $3 pp, must register, scary stories around the campfire
