Overall the weather this December has been pretty mild considering we live in the Chicago area. However, I chose one of the coldest evenings to explore the magnificent light display at Lilacia Park in Lombard, Illinois. We did plan a bit ahead and brought some coffee and cocoa. I am glad we thought ahead because Lilacia Park is not to be missed!
Lilacia Park is quite the wonderland of lights -- much to the delight of young and old!
Colorful lights, light characters and designs and more create a magical scene.
Some evenings have additional festivities including a train. While those are over for the season, the lights are still on through January 2.
Lilacia Park is definitely a display worth a drive. Our walk through certainly was full of wonderment!
