Are you ready for the weekend? There are some really great family fun activities in the Chicago suburbs this weekend including Walpurgnisnacht with a campfire! There are some STEM events, bird fun, art events and more! Here are my picks:
Road Trip: 
  • March 17 - June 3 Simply Spring Butterfly Exhibit, Nicholas Conservatory in Rockford, enjoy butterflies flying freely in the conservatory, witness all of the butterfly life cycle, $6 resident, $8 non, $4 and $6 for seniors, kids 5-17 and veterans, Ages 3-4 $2, under 3 free, check website for times. ***Tropical Tuesdays Admission is $3.**
  • April 27-29 Get Behind The Arts in Racine and Kenosha, incredible behind the scenes look at local artists
Friday, April 27:
  • April 27-28 Irish Fest, Mt. Prospect, Irish food, music and more, free admission
  • April 27 Stunt Dogs, Elgin Community College Arts Center, 7:30PM, tickets $35 / $30 adults $25 / $20 children 12 & under FOR TICKET AND INFORMATION, call the ECC Arts Center Box Office at 847-622-0300 or visit http://tickets.elgin.edu/
  • April 27 Walpurgnisnacht, Camp Reinberg, Palatine, 7PM-9PM, broom ball, witches dancing, homemade root beer, outdoor games and more, tickets $10 pp, $13 with broom
  • April 27 Walpurgis Night, Volkening Heritage Farm, Schaumburg, 6PM-8PM, wagon rides, enjoy the farm on the evening, roast hot dogs and marshmallows, $7 pp

  • April 29 World Migratory Bird Day, Volo Bog, Ingleside, 12PM-4PM, learn how to use binoculars, go on a bird walk, compete in challenges and more, free
