Earth Day is here and there are plenty of events in the Chicago suburbs to help us celebrate! Here are my picks for the weekend including an art adventure and food truck event in addition to Earth Day fun!

  • March 17 - June 3 Simply Spring Butterfly Exhibit, Nicholas Conservatory in Rockford, enjoy butterflies flying freely in the conservatory, witness all of the butterfly life cycle, $6 resident, $8 non, $4 and $6 for seniors, kids 5-17 and veterans, Ages 3-4 $2, under 3 free, check website for times. ***Tropical Tuesdays Admission is $3.**

  • April 21 Hoffman Walks - Earth Day, Vogelei Park, Hoffman Estates, 9AM-10:30AM, learn about coyotes and go on a community walk, free
  • April 21 Fox River Arts Ramble, Elgin-Aurora, 10AM-5PM, 40 local places to explore art
