Website Wednesday: Energy Star Kids

Energy Star has a cute interactive portion of their website dedicated to kids. Through the website, kids can learn about the types of energy, where it comes from, and how to conserve it. The website is easy to navigate and has plenty of places for kids to click to reveal useful information.

If you click on the "Parents & Teachers" tab, you will be brought to a section where you can download a Horton Hears a Who! or a Lorax activity book.

With summer coming up, it probably doesn't hurt to have a few of these cute sites in your back pocket to keep the little ones entertained! I think that my daughter will definitely love this site because of the interactive nature and that it will teach her more about conserving energy. (Hopefully, she will learn a little about turning off lights when you are not in the room and not turning on the television if you actually do not intend on watching it!)
