Wednesday Weekend Wind Up

I am sure that everyone is anticipating fun activities for this holiday weekend, whether it be a parade or a barbecue. The weather looks like it will be sunny over the weekend, but hot again! So, remember that sunscreen and to bring water with you.

A number of farmers markets are already open in the area. The markets in Palatine, Huntley, and Park Ridge are all already open. Grayslake has its Spring Farmers Market open this weekend. Check here for info on Grayslake and here for info about other northwest suburban markets.

There are art festivals in both Barrington and St. Charles this weekend. Both events are free!  My daughter loves to go to art festivals and look at all of the different creations.

The River Trail Nature Center will have a Frog Frenzy! on Sunday and Monday from 1:30PM-2:30PM. Kids will get to meet the frog friends of the preserve. The event is free! We attended on of River Trail's Fall Color Walks and loved it!

The Volo Auto Museum is having its Car Corral and Show this weekend. Tickets are $11.95/adult, $6.95/ child. The event runs from 9AM-5PM. Check here for more information and to get tickets.
