Ongoing research has been touting the health benefits of tea. I know that at its most basic level, certain teas can give me needed energy boosts that tend to be more sustained. Also, certain teas relax me, so that I can calm down after a rough day. (In fact, I remember a particular day when I was going nuts and Kat gave me a nice cup of tea to relax.) Plus, a cup of warm tea is definitely healthier than a bottled beverage with questionable chemical components. Here are some other possible health benefits of tea:
- Teas are high in polyphenols which are antioxidants that can help prevent cell damage that may lead to disease including cancer.
- Drinking 1-4 cups of green or black tea may decrease the chance of Parkinson's.
- Green tea may help in reducing risk of cardiovascular disease or at least delaying some risk factors.
- Green tea also may provide a metabolic boost and help burn fat.
- Drinking black tea may lower blood pressure.
- Oolong tea may help lower bad cholesterol.
For our recent tasting of Tiesta Tea, we tried Passion Berry Jolt and Sparkling White Grape.
We actually tried the Sparkling White Grape at a holiday party. The tea was truly a great option for a holiday party. Everyone loved the tea. The aroma of the tea is definitely grape. I was a little worried that the grape would be too much when tasting the tea. However, the grape was pleasantly crisp, not overwhelming at all. Take a look at the Sparkling White Grape, it is quite a beautiful white tea blend:
We also tasted the Passion Berry Jolt. The blend itself sounds very exotic: black tea with marigolds, cornflowers, raspberry and passion fruit flavoring. I think that Kat captures this tea in her review: "I really liked the Passion Berry Jolt Energizer blend. Even just smelling it is pleasant! A combo of black tea, raspberry, marigolds, cornflowers and passion fruit flavoring give it a tasty punch." Take a peek:
