The Naked Bee Healing Salve: a solution to my dry hands

It is no secret that winter wants to hang around. Poor Punxsutawney Phil has quite a few people angry with him. With winter hanging on a little longer, so do those pesky winter ailments. My hands get pretty dry during the winter months, so I am always searching for a solution to this annoying predicament. This winter, this predicament has been a little more pronounced. I am also in the process of unjunking my life. Cue The Naked Bee.
The Naked Bee is a small American company that makes natural personal care products like lotions, shampoos, lip balms and more. Back in December, I discovered their Hand & Cuticle Healing Salve. I have been using it all winter and have found it to be a good solution to my dry hands.

The salve is made from sunflower seed oil, beeswax, shea butter, and cocoa butter. It is sold in a handy tin. I actually prefer the tin to other hand lotions that come in tubes. With tubes, I end up losing some of the lotion by either squeezing out too much during application or not being able to squeeze out the last remnants. Plus, if you want to pop the tin into your purse, you will not find a little goopy gift in the bottom of your purse as may be the case when a lotion top pops off. (This has never, ever happened to me.) With the salve, I just rub a little out with my finger and work it into my hands. You moisturize and get a little massage at the same time! I finish by using a little bit of lotion after, although this isn't necessary.

Look, my hand doesn't look very dry, does it? (Please ignore the Hulk-like appearance of my hand. I promise, I am not Hulking-out!)

The salve has been lasting me quite a long time. Since December, I have only used about 1/4 to 1/3 of the salve, so it is definitely worth the splurge. I love that it is natural and not petroleum based. (Petroleum based products actually dry out your skin.)

I picked up my treasure at Norton's USA in Barrington. There are other locations to find The Naked Bee in our area as well as throughout the country. You can find a location near you by using the location finder. Currently, the website shopping is only available to wholesale purchasers.
