The Here Whee Go Again Kidz Resale Event will be held in Lake Zurich April 11-14. Find some great deals on stuff for the kids. There will be free activities for the kids. Check AH Moms for more info. (Plus, sign up for AH Moms while you are there. It is a great site!)
Friday, April 12
This one is a goodie for moms and kids! Nibbles Play Café in Wheeling will be holding a Mom's Happy Hour: Personal Identity Theft! from 3:30PM-5:30PM. Attend and talk about finding yourself again after becoming a mom with Life Coach Anita Meyers while the kids play. Enjoy an appetizer buffet and wine. The event is $20 per family. You must register.
Saturday, April 13
National Geographic Little Explorers: Sharks will be a fun event at Pottery Barn Kids Stores. The event starts at 10AM and includes activities, quizzes, songs, for free!
Earth Day at Air Station Prairie in Glenview will have some family activities, nature walks, and environmental exhibits. The free events runs 10AM-2PM.
Air Power! with Discovery Center Museum at the Indian Trails Public Library in Wheeling will be wowing kids with air experiments including floating a ball in mid-air and launching a rocket. The free event is from 11AM-12:30PM. Tickets will be given out beginning 30 minutes before show. There is limited space.
The Grove in Glenview is having a Guided Trail Walk at 2PM. Learn about nature and spring while walking through the preserve for free!
Sunday, March 14
The Story Walk in the Little Bear Garden in Glenview will open. Read a book as you walk. The walk is free!
There will be a fun Open House at North Shore Dojo/Karate Can Do in Wheeling from 2:00PM-4:00PM. There will be exhibitions, mini-classes, obstacle course, and snacks for kids 4 and up for free! This is a good way to see if the kiddos would like to try martial arts.
Springtime on the Farm, is a fun event at the Volkening Heritage Farm in Schaumburg. The event is from 12PM-4PM.. There will be demonstrations and crafts. You can help wash clothes, beat rugs, plow fields, and more. The event costs $3pp $12 per family of 4 or more. My family looks forward to this event each year! (Now, if I could only get my daughter to do some of these chores around my house.....)
