My daughter and I got our Santa on this weekend and began putting together our teacher gifts. When looking through my gift bag stash, I noticed the paucity of small bags. Go figure! We had some brown paper bags around, so I let my daughter craft her own bags instead of purchasing more. These bags are super-easy and I just know that the recipients will smile when they recognize that my daughter made them!
Materials:

Paper bags
glue stick
scissors
white paper--you can use scrap for this
tissue paper---probably a pastel color like purple or blue {this would be a good one for tissue paper scrap}
anything to add more flare: stickers, glitter pen, markers, etc
Directions:
First, we cut snowflakes. I was under the mistaken impression that my daughter would be an expert at this by now. However, I was wrong. So, I showed her how to fold them and make cutouts.
Then, we cut tissue paper to back the snowflakes and glued it on.
Once we had the snowflakes mounted to the tissue paper, we glued them to the paper bags and added some designs with glitter pens. Add some tissue paper and the gifts and we have a nice, wrapped gift!
Really charming and gift bags. Amazing idea.
