ROAD TRIP: Kenosha will have trick-or-treating at its museums on Saturday, October 25 for Boofest! There will also be a Munchkin Masquerade at nearby Jelly Belly. Check websites for deets!

Friday & Saturday: A Haunting in the Valley, Spring Valley Nature Center, 6:15PM-9:30PM, wagon rides, live owl demo, games, refreshments, mysterious trail, and more, tickets must be purchased for time slots, purchasing ahead is strongly recommended, $6 per ticket bought prior to 5PM, $8 at door
Trunk-or-Treat, Public Works, Arlington Heights, 6:30PM-8:30PM, kids activities, trick-or-treating, decorated cars, $10 per child

Bootiful Saturday, Elmhurst City Centre, 9:30AM, free showing of Mr. Peabody and Sherman at York Theatre, trick-or-treating after movie, DJ in plaza, pumpkin patches
Learn about native wildlife at Family Day at Big Run Wolf Ranch in Lockport from 10AM-4PM. The center specializes in educating about North American wildlife. It also houses orphaned wildlife. Visit with wildlife during family day. Admission is $5 pp.
Catapult Contest and Hayrides, Cantigny Park, Wheaton, catapult contest 10AM-12PM, Hayrides 12PM-4PM, hayrides are free with parking admission ($5), the catapult contest is free for onlookers, you must register if you would like to be part of the contest
Halloween Hoopla, Des Plaines, 10AM-4PM, costume parade and trick-or-treating at 10AM, pumpkin drag races, craft event at library, magic show, see website for details, free admission

The Un-haunted Forest, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 1:30PM-2:30PM, come in costume for a magical hike through the forest and receive a Halloween treat, $1 per child, register
