Happy Halloween!!!!! In a couple of days, we will all be greeting witches, vampires, ghosts, goblins, critters and more! What a fun time of the year!

Trick-or-Treating and Costume Contest at Pinstripes, costume judging at 8PM, treats all day
Truckin Around, Schaumburg Boomers Stadium, Schaumburg, 4PM-10PM, food truck Halloween extravaganza, trick-or-treating, costume contest, chef demos, food for purchase, free admission
Malloween at Westfield Hawthorn, Vernon Hills, 2PM-5PM, trick-or-treating at the mall, free (look for special deals)
Downtown Trick-or-Treating, Arlington Heights, 3PM-6PM, free (sometimes, there are goodies for the 'rents)
Fright Night Skating, Orbit Skate Center, Palatine, 7PM-11PM, creepy music, costume party, games and prizes, $8 admission, $3 skate rental ($32 admission for family of 5)
Saturday, November 1
Native American Day, Elk Grove Historical Museum, 1PM-4PM, explore Native American tribes that lived in Illinois, make a beaded necklace and/or corn husk doll, play Native American games, weather permitting see atlatl throwing and fire making demos, free general admission but small fees for crafts
November 1-7 Trade your extra candy for a delicious cupcake at Nutphree's in Mt. Prospect. Candy donated will be sent to troops overseas through Operation Gratitude.
Sunday, November 2
Toy Soldier Show, Cantigny Park, Visitors Center, 9AM-4PM, free with $5 parking, there will be some items for sale
More Alike Than Not, A Storytelling Event at The Illinois Holocaust Museum, 1:30PM-3:00PM, a fantastic way for families to celebrate differences and learn about being upstanders, free with admission, (free admission for Skokie residents), see our post for more details.
