Wednesday Weekend Windup {Holiday Craft Fairs, Wagon Rides, Fall Foliage and More}

This weekend looks like a great one to get a jump on the holidays! There are a number of early craft fairs to take advantage of. I love to get all my shopping done in November so I can just enjoy December! There are other fun things to do this weekend, too! Check it out:
Thursday, November 5
  • November 5-8 The Grove Arts & Crafts Faire, The Grove, Glenview, Th & Fri 10AM-8PM, Sat & Sun 10AM-5PM, HUGE gift and craft fair, $5 admission but worth it!
Friday, November 6
  • November 6-8 Aquatic Experience, Schaumburg Convention Center, all sorts of tank displays, touch tank, touch a gator, octopus display and more, $10 one day ticket, other options available, see website for more info
  • November 6-7 Wilder Mansion's 5th Annual Holiday Market, Elmhurst, 4PM-9PM Fri, 10AM-4PM Sat, free admission, plenty of crafts to shop!
  • Also the Grove Arts & Crafts Faire.
Saturday, November 7
  • November 7 PHS Boosters Craft Fair, Palatine High School, 9AM-4PM, free admission and parking, 150 vendors
  • November 7 Fall Foliage Crafts, River Trail Nature Center, 10:30AM, enjoy fall leaf rubbing and tracing, all participants will take home a craft, free!
  • November 7 Native American Day, Elk Grove Historical Museum, 1PM-4PM, play Native American games, make a beaded necklace, make a cornhusk doll, view atlatl throwing and fire making (weather permitting), free admission, $3 for crafts
  • November 7 Pumpkin Pitch, Barrington High School Parking Lot, 12PM-4PM
  • November 7-8 Showcase of Arts and Crafts, Barrington Park District Fitness and Recreation Center, 9AM-5PM Sat, 10AM-4PM Sun, free!
  • November 7 Pumpkin Smash and Bash, Flick Park Sled Hill, Glenview, 3:30PM-4:30PM, put your old pumpkins to use, pumpkin roll competition, smash pumpkins for compost, remove candles first, free
  • Also Aquatic Experience, Wilder Mansion Craft Fair and Grove Arts & Craft Faire. 
Sunday, November 8
  • November 8 Toy Soldier Show, Cantigny Park, Wheaton, 9AM-4PM, check out toy soldier artists' skill and dedication, items for purchase, free admission, $5 parking fee
  • November 8 Great Midwest Train Show, DuPage County Fairgrounds, Wheaton, 9AM-3PM, $7 for adults, kids 12 and under are free
  • November 8 Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides, Volkening Heritage Farm, 11AM-3PM, $3 pp
  • Also Aquatic Experience, Grove Arts & Craft Faire and Barrington Craft Fair.
