Back-to-School is here! Good thing there is still summer fun to be had this weekend! Hummingbirds, Air and Water Show, Venetian Fest, Viking Ship, Vintage Days and more fun will fill out your weekend. Check out my picks in the Chicago suburbs and nearby:

  • August 19 Picnic at Kinder House, Des Plaines, 1PM-4PM, dedication of antique streetlamp in honor of late director Shari Caine, lamp was repaired by J. B. Metal Works, ticketed picnic lunch so contact the Des Plaines Historic Society, live entertainment
