Time to think weekend! There are a lot of opportunities for fun this weekend in the Chicago suburbs. Ukuleles, music fix, hot air balloons and much more fun options ahead. Here are my picks for the weekend:
  • May 19-Sept 15 Butterfly House, Peck Farm, Geneva, 9AM-5PM Mon-Sat, Sun 12PM-5PM, closed Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, suggested donation, $2 pp or $5 per family
  • July 7-September 3 Saturdays and Sundays plus Labor Day -- The Bristol Renaissance Faire

  • August 26 Bike the Garden, Chicago Botanic Garden, 7:30AM-9:30AM, for this morning only you can bike the entire perimeter of the garden, must register, free, normal parking fees apply
  • August 26 Walk in the Park, North School Park, Arlington Heights, 10AM-4PM, artists in the Midwest display locally made art, live music and more, free admission
  • August 26 Geneva Concours D'Elegance Car Show
  • August 26 Family Fish School, River Trail Nature Center, 11AM-2PM, learn about area fish and fishing from an FPDCC fish biologist, must register 847-824-8360
  • August 26 Ukulele Festival, Water Street Mall, Aurora, 11AM-6PM, family activities and the Sci Tech Hands on Museum, Aurora Regional Fire Museum and more will be open for free, performers, see website for tickets and prices
