Happy Father's Day! This Father's Day Weekend is full of tons of fun including all sorts of festivals, the Highland Games, Mexican Folkloric Show, Wizards, Build a Bird House, Blues on the Fox and much more! Here are my picks for the weekend:

- June 15 Busse Woods Earth, Air and Fire Day, 9AM-12PM, fishing derby, casting lessons, tree climb, visits from Shedd and Brookfield Zoo, must register if you want to be in the fishing derby, free
- June 15 Heritage Farm Local Market Day, Heritage Farm, Schaumburg, 9AM-12PM, stop at the museum shop early to shop locally grown and produced products including the farm's fresh eggs
- June 15-16 Custer Fair, Evanston, live music, local food vendors, family fun and more
- June 15-16 Dairy Month, Klein Creek Farm, West Chicago, 10AM-4PM, learn why shorthorn cows were bred, how to milk a cow, why windmills were vital and more, cooking demos on weekend, free,check facebook for up-to-date activity info

- June 16 Father's Day BBQ, Blackberry Farm, Aurora, 11AM-12:30PM, $20 pp, enjoy a special BBQ lunch for Dad and then stay on the farm for fun, must register
- June 16 Walk with Me Soul Harbor Ranch, Hideway Brew Garden, Hoffman Estates, 1PM-2PM, take Dad out for a beer and a walk with Soul Harbor's mini horses!
- June 16 Dads at Work, Crabtree Nature Center, Barrington, 1PM, learn about the roles dads play in nature and take a short hike, free
