Bill and Hillary Sculpture at West Street Sculpture Park in Galena, IL
We did have a chuckle when we discovered this Bill and Hillary sculpture from 1994.
The outdoors and art. An enjoyable combination! Mixed in a lovely wooded setting, we savored an amble through the West Street Sculpture Park during our Galena visit.

Scattered throughout 2 acres, local artist John Martinson shares his creations in tranquility. Living in Galena since 1979, Martinson has crafted quite a collection. The West Street Sculpture Park website also shares some of this other works. They are amazing, so take a peak.

The collection of welded steel sculptures in Galena is one of the largest we have ever seen. Each piece is accompanied with a plaque detailing the work's name and date. Maps are also provided.

Everyone will easily find a piece that inspires further investigation. Definitely walk around and take in different perspectives. With each piece comprised of repurposed items fused together, we enjoyed not only observing the piece but pointing out various elements.

The West Street Sculpture Park is a fun treasure in Galena. Viewing is free but there is a donation box so feel free to donate. West Street Sculpture Park is open year round from dawn to dusk, so it is easy to add to your Galena itinerary.
