Bistro Chen in Arlington Heights, Illinois

This week, we went out for our traditional Chinese food dinner for our dating anniversary. We had only been to Bistro Chen in Arlington Heights once, so we thought we would try it again. We really found it to be a treat and we were glad we strayed from our normal for one night.

The decor is beautiful. My favorite piece has to be the dragon window in the entry way. Stunning!

The menu for Bistro Chen is rather large and includes Chinese favorites, sushi, dim sum, pad thai and more. There is actually a huge dim sum selection that we have already decided we will return for. There is also the prix fixe menu which looks to be a good way to try a lot. However, we definitely would have over ordered on this visit! We did order starters, of course! My daughter and I enjoyed cups of miso soup. A warm up in the winter is a must!

My husband ordered yummy egg rolls. Both items were delicious appetizers!

For my dinner, I went with the shrimp and peapods. As you can see, portions are large! My meal was delicious and I was happy to have some leftovers for the next day.

My daughter ordered sushi which arrived in a fun boat. Love it!

My husband ordered cashew chicken -- another hit with plenty for lunch the next day!

We enjoyed our meal at Bistro Chen and also loved our surroundings. Service was amazing as well! The menu is HUGE, so we have plenty of items to try on future visits. I think our next visit will include exploring dim sum. Yum!
