Don't you love stories that send a little shiver up your spine--but in a good way? You know, those little moments in life that can't be explained except through an act from the world beyond. Chicken Soup for the Soul's recent Touched by an Angel edition is a volume full of these stories. Each anecdote provides an uplifting message that will leave you comforted with a smile on your face.

From quarters mysteriously popping into a laundry machine to a deceased son presenting his mom with a dog to love to a harried mother warned by an otherworldly voice to check on her child that was no longer breathing to a nurse appearing merely to help an elderly parent miraculously recover, you will easily find a story that resonates with your own life experiences. This level of comfort and understanding is often what makes Chicken Soup for the Soul books such delightful reads for everyone.

I particularly love Chicken Soup for the Soul because if you have only a spare moment of time, you can pick up a volume, read a brief anecdote and feel inspired. I especially love to tote these books along for mini breaks in my schedule including waiting in the school's pick up line or waiting at the doctor's office. Another lovely volume perfect for those going through loss, people who love a little pleasant mystery and those who need a little pick-me-up during the day!
