Over the last month or so I have had the opportunity to connect with another magnificent local charity called Bike Bald. Bike Bald puts together cycling events and other public events to bring more awareness to Childhood Cancer and other serious childhood illnesses as well as to support families that are affected. Next weekend, Bike Bald is working their magic to bring alive a dream for an area child with cystic fibrosis.
Meet Cyrus and his mother:
Cyrus has always wanted to spend a day at Centennial Beach in Naperville. So, Bike Bald is organizing a Surprise Birthday Party for Cyrus on Sunday, June 14 at 11AM! Below find some information on how you can help make this party come true for Cyrus!

Imagine being a very young mom, single, no drivers license, walks to and from work, lives in the City of Chicago and has a son only to be told at 2 weeks old "your child has Cystic Fibrosis". Talk about finding the strength to get through your day, yet always both mom and her son, "Cyrus" ALWAYS has a smile on their face. Cyrus has a birthday "3" coming up and he has a wish..."To spend the day at the beach"...sounds a lot like our own wishes. But, not just any beach... see Cyrus "...all his life he has wanted to go to Centennial Beach" & he loves Fire Trucks...sounds like a perfect match for "Bike Bald". Here is where we need your help...Cyrus has his Mom & Grandparents (Grandpa is one of Chicago's Finest recently retired), but because he is such a SUPER HERO, he deserves a HUGE surprise Birthday Party, where else..."Centennial Beach." Bike bald would like you to join us on Sunday, June 14th at 11:00am to make a grand surprise to Cyrus as we show him he has friends here in Naperville. This little boy deserves his wish to be special. We cannot do it by ourselves we need you to be a part of his life and help make great forever memories for him. If you have never been a part of making a seriously ill child's wish come true...this is your chance...it is so rewarding, Bring your kids & swim at the beach. Example of items needed: a fabulous Birthday Cake, cupcakes, balloons, a Happy Birthday banner, decorations, utensils, table cloths, games, treats & take away's.... costumes - a superhero or character dressed up, a magician, face painter etc... Bike Bald supports seriously ill children and is a registered IRS 501c(3) organization. 100% volunteer organization
