I am finally resuming my weekend activity list! What I am learning is that attending activities may require more advanced planning due to social distancing. So, some may have registration already full by the weekend. Please keep this in mind. Additionally, please remember that masks may be required and definitely will be for indoor events. I am trying to put together a few events including both virtual and socially distanced. Please be kind as I navigate this but I want to make sure to help get out the word about our treasures here in the suburbs!



7/17 Virtual Sounds of Summer Concert, 7PM, The Rockin' Fenderskirts, via Palatine Park District, on YouTube

7/17, 7/18 & 19 Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Outdoor Tours, Oak Park, safety guidelines must be followed, it is preferred that you order tickets online

7/17, 7/18 & 7/19 Naper Settlement is now open with new experiences following COVID restrictions, please see website for more information, how to RSVP and more, admission is $12 for those 13 and older, $10 for seniors and $8 for those 4-12; free for Naperville residents.

7/18 Nature Walks at Fullersburg Woods; 45 minute walks starting on the hour at 9AM, 10AM, 11AM, 12PM, 1PM and 2PM, $2 per person, must wear a mask and maintain 6 foot distances from others, those under 18 must be accompanied by and adult, registration not required

7/18 Super Saturday Magic Show with Scott Green, virtual through Mount Prospect Public Library, 11AM-11:45AM, registration is required


7/18 & 7/19 Long Grove Live, live music performances around Long Grove, see website for more info

7/18 & 7/19 What's On the Menu? River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 3PM, it is feeding time for animals living at the center, free, learn about the animals at the nature center, masks & social distancing required

7/18 & Anytime Mount Prospect Historic Houses Walking Tour, you can download a PDF or use QR codes, great way to learn the history of Mount Prospect!

7/18 Tailgate & Rock Kimball Hill Park, Rolling Meadows, 6PM-8:30PM, bring your own food and grill and get ready to tailgate, The Acoustic Generation will be playing, $25 per car, must register

7/18 The Lorax drive in movie at the Starbucks in Highwood, 8:30PM, $40 per car, arrive between 7PM and 8:15PM.  Event organized by Celebrate Highwood. Must reserve tickets ahead of event.
