The weekend is right around the corner! The weather does look a bit iffy this weekend. So in addition to these ideas, I also suggest checking out Teresa Parod's garage murals in Evanston! We usually drive through and then head over to a coffee shop and the Evanston Art Center. A nice little adventure no matter the weather! Here are some other ideas:

Ongoing Human + Nature at Morton Arboretum, Lisle, stunning natural sculptures to help connect people with trees, the exhibition includes 5 incredible sculptures, included with normal admission

October 13 - January 2, 2022 Par Excellence Redux: The Back 9, Elmhurst Art Museum. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience an interactive exhibit created by local artists. In honor of the original Par Excellence exhibit at The School of the Art Institute, local artists have created 9 unique mini golf holes that you can actually play! To enjoy this exhibit, you do have to reserve a tee time. Please see website for more information and how to book your time.

November 4-15 Lake County Film Festival in-person viewings, November 18-29 with online viewings, Waukegan and Lake Forest

Through January 2 Lightscape at Chicago Botanic Garden November 12-January 2; Lightscape returns to Chicago Botanic Garden fusing old favorites, reimagined displays and new show stoppers! The gentle amble through stunning designs. Tickets are on sale now, but will go fast. So, purchase them soon!

Through January 9 Let It Shine Drive Thru Light Show in Northbrook, Schaumburg and Aurora, November 12-January 9; light installations synchronized to music, $29.99-$39.99; fast pass can be added on for $20; see website for more information and tickets. Tickets are only available online.

November 13 America Recycles Day, Fuller Air Station, Glenview, 10AM, learn about recycling, family activities, free

November 13 & 14 Farmhouse Tours, Kline Creek Farm, West Chicago, 10AM-4PM, free tours of the farmhouse, see what needs to be done during fall

November 13 - 14 Tours of Volo Bog, Ingleside, 11AM and 1PM, free, registration preferred

November 13 Dinner Is Served, Crabtree Nature Center, Barrington, 3:30PM, visit during the raptors' feeding time to learn more about them, free

Sunday, November 14

November 14 Legend of the Pickle Scavenger Hunt Kick Off, Woodstock, 12PM-4PM, pick up game cards for the hunt, 47 pickles are hidden, grab a free jar of pickles, Woodstock Willie and the Woodstock Pickle will be there 1PM-3PM
