Pumpkins and Skeletons Create Fall Feels at the 12th Annual Great Highwood Pumpkin Fest and Skeletons on Display October 7-9, 2022

Hundreds of jack-o-lanterns and dozens of skeletons in delightful displays will create a fun fall weekend at the 12th Annual Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival and Skeletons on Display this coming weekend. This event is one of my favorites in the Chicago suburbs. The walls of jack-o-lanterns create such a magical fall feeling that you can't help but be swept up in the beauty of the fall festival evening. Don't miss out!

While the festival runs October 7-9, you can join the fun early on October 6 by coming out to carve jack-o-lanterns 5PM-9PM. Also on the 6th, enjoy unlimited carnival rides for $30 per person. If you can't make it out on Thursday don't worry, you can still carve pumpkins at carving stations throughout the length of the festival.

The festival officially opens on October 7 at 4PM. Enjoy pumpkin carving stations, interactive skeleton displays, an artisan market, live music. a carnival and so much more. Fabulously fall events throughout the weekend will include trick-or-treating, a pumpkin pie eating contest, pet costume contest, a kids costume contest and more. Saturday will open with a Superhero 5K run, walk or stroll However, the most magical part of this festival is seeing the walls of jack-o-lanterns lit up in the evening. Simply beautiful!

This year's charity beneficiary is the Highland Park Community Foundation which continues to help families in the aftermath of the July 4th tragedy. So, while enjoying community, family, and togetherness, attendees will also be able to help a local community in need of support.

We look forward to The Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival every year. The jack-o-lantern walls full of whimsical and spooky faces really lift you in the special fall and Halloween spirit only Octobers can provide. You truly cannot help but have all of those warm, grateful fall feels while enjoying the charm of The Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival!
