The weekend is here! Here are my picks for family fun this weekend as well as some native plant sales. Have a great weekend!

February 4-December 23 Viking's Voyage, Geneva History Museum, learn about the history of the replica Viking ship in Geneva which started as an attraction at the World's Columbian Exhibition in 1893, $5 per adult, $2 kids and seniors, free for members, closed Sundays and Mondays

April 29 -  May 6 Founder's Day Events, Downers Grove, see website for listing of events

April 27 - several weeks depending on blooms, Tulip Festival, Richardson Adventure Farm, Spring Grove, see website for hours and tickets

May 6-21 Lilac Time, Lilacia Park, Lombard

May 6-July 31 Superheroes in Wilder Park, Elmhurst, 8 life-sized superhero sculptures by local artists, free

May 6 - 7 Citizens for Conservation Native Plants Sale at Hill N Dale Preserve in Lake Barrington, 9AM-3PM each day, online orders through April 16 until capacity met

May 6-7 Spring Planting on the Farm Tour, Kline Creek Farm, West Chicago, 10AM-4PM, tour the farmhouse and see how the farmers began spring planting on the farm, tours leave on the hour, $5 suggested donation

May 6 Free Comic Book Day and FanFest, Geneva Public Library, 9AM-1PM, free comic books, crafts, superhero green screen, giveaways and more, free

May 6-7 Art in Wilder Park, Elmhurst, 10AM-5PM, local art, kids crafts, food and more, free admission

May 6 Lake Katherine Native Plant Sale, Festival Grounds, Palos Heights, 10AM-1PM

May 6 May Fest, Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum, 12PM-4PM, arts, music, crafts, and more free

May 6 A Day in Asia, Gail Borden Public Library, Elgin, 1PM-3PM, walk through the streets of Asia exploring the culture, arts, dress and foods of Asia in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, free

May 6 Flower Festival, Bunker Hill, Niles, 1PM-3PM, share Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with crafts, arts, and storytelling, free

Sunday, May 7

May 7 Dog Admission Day, Morton Arboretum, Lisle, dogs are welcome to visit Morton Arboretum with their owners, regular admission applies to owners, dog admission is $5

May 7 Spring Festival, Thatcher Woods, River Forest, 12PM-3PM, free

May 7 WPPC Native Plant Sale, McHenry County College Cafeteria, 12PM-3PM, cash and check only, large selection available but varieties vary
