Open House Racine County in Wisconsin provides explorers with a unique opportunity to explore 60 local treasures and iconic structures some of which are not often available to the public. The event features a build your own itinerary using the website to compile a list of sites that pique your interest. Interesting Racine County places will include historic sites, creative spaces, insightful museums and more.


Some of the sites on the list include:

  • Chocolate Experience Museum in Burlington
  • Wingspread designed by Frank Lloyd Wright
  • Rural Rochester's Earthcare Suri Alpacas
  • Oak Clearing Farm which was featured on American Pickers 
  • Spectrum School of Arts
  • Burlington's Spinning Top Museum
  • 1888 Bohemian Schoolhouse
  • House of Harley-Davidson
  • Racine Art Museum
  • Journal Times
Admission to these local wonders is free -- so a perfect family day! The event is scheduled for 9AM-5PM on May 6, 2017 but open times vary a tad by site, so head over to the Open House Racine County website for further info and to form your itinerary.
