Bald Eagle Days and Eagle Watching Coming Up in the Quad Cities

Winter is a fabulous time to look for bald eagles along the Mississippi River in Illinois. The Quad Cities have some excellent opportunities to view the majestic birds and learn from naturalists. Take a peek:

Bald Eagle Days:

Bald Eagle Days will be held in the Quad Cities January 11-13, 2019. The largest event in the Midwest dedicated to bald eagles will be held in the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island, Illinois. The event will include live eagle programs, birds of prey demos, Big Run Wolf Ranch, Exotic Wildlife Sanctuary, Jim Nesci's cold blooded animals, 100 demo booths and a 20 ft. climbing tower. The Quad City Audubon Society will man Sunset Marina in Rock Island with scopes set up for eagle watching. There will be a free shuttle from the Expo Center to the Marina. Bald Eagle Days sounds like a fascinating and fun adventure for families this winter! Admission is $6 per adults and $1 per kid ages 6-15. If you are heading to the Quad Cities, also check my post Family Weekend in the Quad Cities for more fun ideas.
