Evening Concert at RiverEdge Park in Aurora: Perfect End to a Summer Day

Evening Concert at RiverEdge Park in Aurora: Perfect End to a Summer Day

RiverEdge Park in Aurora Provides A Stunning Venue for Summer Concerts on the Fox River

**Disclosure: I did receive complimentary tickets in order to bring you this review. No other compensation was received. All opinions are 100% my own.

We arrived about an hour early to our show at RiverEdge Park in Aurora -- Hollywood Nights -- which gave us plenty of time to settle in and relax. I have to say, the stage at RiverEdge is pretty impressive!

You can choose to sit in the seated area depending on space available.  However, we prefer the lawn concert experience. There is just something about sitting on the lawn for a summer concert! All in all the John C. Dunham Pavilion can fit up to 6,000 people. Amazingly, the venue always felt spacious with room to move whether on the lawn or walking up towards the sitting area! Another peek at the magnificent stage:

Enjoying Fox River Views:

RiverEdge Park sits right along the lovely Fox River. I enjoyed the views before the concert started. There are some nice paths to meander on during the concert including along the river. Such a splendid summer day!

You can bring picnics into RiverEdge Park. There also is a variety of food available. We were surprised by the large number of choices available at Genoa Italian Concessions. The Sky Deck above is reserved for sponsors and not only provides a fantastic view of the stage but a panorama view of the Fox River as well.

There are a few other concession stands available at RiverEdge including Beans, Greens and Proteins and Senor Taco. Senor Taco was pretty popular on the night of our visit!

I returned to the river a little later in the evening noticing some kayakers that had rowed up for the show. What a treat!

Rocking Out on a Summer Night!

As the sun went down, I was pretty impressed by how the atmosphere lit up on the stage and the big screen. You can see the big screen from pretty much anywhere in the park. There is another one in the concession area as well. Here you can see the crew working just behind the big screen:

I love the look of the big screen with the stage just behind! Pretty cool all lit up!

Throughout the show I would walk around a bit enjoying the summer sounds and air! You can take a peek at the stage and it is certainly beautiful at night:

After nearly a week, I am still basking in the lovely summer night that we spent listening to Hollywood Nights at RiverEdge Park! The venue is fabulous both for a night out as well as for families. Because you can bring your own picnic and you can choose seating or sitting on the lawn, you can craft your own evening. Such a stunning venue for memorable summer nights!
