Savoring the Flavors at Chicago Mike's Ice Cream Co. in Highwood, Illinois

Ice cream was perfect for this past pretty warm October weekend! We visited Chicago Mike's Ice Cream Co. in Highwood for the first time and were immediately enamored with this local family business housed in an old fire station. I mean, isn't it cute?

While inside, it took us a bit to absorb all of the options. Chicago Mike's handcrafts their own ice cream and quite an impressive range at that!

My daughter quickly honed in on the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup in a waffle cone.

Quite the cone! 

My husband and I settled on splitting a sampler allowing us to try four different ice creams. Plated up, it was quite adorable! We sampled Coffecino featuring neighboring small business Tala Coffee's coffee, Salted Caramel Pretzel (which was incredible), Cookie Jar and Butter Praline Pecan. So delicious and a great way to enjoy a range of flavors!

Chicago Mike's Ice Cream Co. is such a fun spot for families! The staff is friendly, the ice cream is fabulous crafted with local cream and the fire house atmosphere is adorable! We will be back!
