10 Sweet Chicago Suburban Chocolate Shops

10 Sweet Chicago Suburban Chocolate Shops

Time to think about something sweet! Here are my favorite chocolate shops here in the Chicago suburbs to help you create a tempting adventure:

1. Anderson's Candy Shop: Anderson's Candy Shop has been tempting with handmade candy since 1919. The family-owned candy shop has been a Richmond staple since 1926 and also has a shop in Barrington. My favorite chocolates happen to be the hand-dipped candy bars which come in old-fashioned wax paper sleeves. The truffles, creams and caramels also are delectable!

2. Noir d'Ebene Noir d'Ebene in Evanston is one of my newest chocolate finds. I had a Rose and Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Coin which was one of the finest pieces of chocolate I have ever had. A masterpiece! Chef Journey Shannon crafts incredibly inviting flavors. In addition to chocolates, indulge your sweet tooth with lollipops and pastries.

3. All Chocolate Kitchen: Whenever in Geneva, a visit to All Chocolate Kitchen is a must to check out all of the chocolate and sculptures! Chef Roby has incredible talent. Of course, the chocolaterie is the perfect spot for truffles, chocolate-baked goodies, gelato and much more.

4. Louisa's and Millie's: Louisa's and Millie's nestled in downtown Downers Grove treats with some of my favorite chocolates in a mini form. Additionally, the shop sports an impressive array of chocolate molds, chocolate-covered oreos, chocolate-dipped pretzels and more. Yum!

5. Le Chocolat du Bouchard: Located in charming downtown Naperville, Le Chocolate du Bouchard reminds me of a Parisian patisserie. Chocolate is displayed in such a picture-perfect way that the pieces look too good to eat. Tempting pastries also make Le Chocolat du Bouchard a fantastic spot to enjoy some sweet pampering. With French flair, the cafe has incredible macaroons.

6. Chocolate Inspirations: Chocolate Inspirations is a family-owned chocolate shop in Roselle. Their strawberry and raspberry chocolate bars are among my favorites in the suburbs. The chocolate peanut butter pillows are amazing. Plus, don't forget to try their toffee.

Chocolates from Long Grove Confectionery

7. Long Grove Confectionery: Long Grove Confectionery has locations in Long Grove, Buffalo Grove and Wauconda. The shop in Long Grove is full to the brim with chocolate creams, chocolate truffles, chocolate caramels, chocolate covered oreos and so much more. The shop also has local favorite Apple Haus donut.s Nextdoor is Long Grove Coffee Co., making the spot a nice little afternoon adventure while indulging your sweet tooth.

8. Morkes Chocolates: Morkes Chocolates has been crafting sweet temptations since 1920. Morkes has quite an array of chocolate goodies including fun molds, truffles, creams and more. They are particularly noted for their donuts. Morkes can be found in Palatine, Huntley and Long Grove.

9. Graham's Fine Chocolates & Ice Cream: Family-owned Graham's has locations in Geneva and Wheaton that entice families not only with chocolate creations but also ice cream concoctions. Chocolate meltaways, truffles, skalies, marshmallows, caramels and so much more will tempt everyone on your list!

10. The Chocolate Sanctuary: Gurnee's The Chocolate Sanctuary presents patrons with the option of trying all sorts of culinary items infused with cocoa. Of course, The Chocolate Santuary treats with a wealth of chocolate dessert and bonbon options as well.
