Shade and rolling trails upon the bluffs of St Cloud, Minnesota at River Bluffs Regional Park welcomed us while on a tranquil and rejuvenating nature adventure. Our hike on the natural trails under sunlight dancing through the leaves provided us with the perfect nature uplift that we needed.

St. Cloud, Minnesota sits along the mighty Mississippi River. The bluffs above the river offer a unique hiking experience with a few peeks at the river in a couple of spots. In addition to hiking, a boat launch and biking are available in the preserve. River Bluffs Regional Park offers 190 acres of nature adventures for everyone!

We hiked the nature trail on a pretty hot summer day. The trail traverses through woodlands, so the shade really was welcome. Although up on a bluff, the trails are just gently rolling. We savored fantastic ravine views and enjoyed spotting birds! Currently, the preserve is dense with foliage so I would like to return at a time with less foliage to really check out the ravines. Overall, we reveled in a hike at a leisurely pace surrounded by spectacular scenery.

If you want to extend your nature adventure, River Bluffs Regional Park is on the Beaver Island Trail, an asphalt biking and hiking trail. You can take the Beaver Island Trail to Riverside Park where you can see the St. Cloud Dam. While we did not take the trail to the dam, we did find another time during our trip to see the dam. Beautiful!

When considering hiking locations in the St. Cloud, Minnesota region, be sure to consider River Bluffs Regional Park. We truly loved our hike at the park!
