  • January 20-March 30 XOXO An Exhibit on Love and Forgiveness, Arlington Heights Memorial Library
  • March 17 - June 3 Simply Spring Butterfly Exhibit, Nicholas Conservatory in Rockford, enjoy butterflies flying freely in the conservatory, witness all of the butterfly life cycle, $6 resident, $8 non, $4 and $6 for seniors, kids 5-17 and veterans, Ages 3-4 $2, under 3 free, check website for times. ***Tropical Tuesdays Admission is $3.**
  • Through April 8 PEEPS Art Exhibition, Racine Art Museum, Racine, WI see blog post, closed Easter and Monday
Thursday, March 29:
  • March 29-31  Open Season Preview Naper Settlement, Naperville, 10AM-4PM, tour historic buildings, learn from interpreters, Adults $12, Seniors (62+) $10, Youth (4-12 yrs) $8. Naperville Residents and Members are free.
  • March 29-30 Pop Up Museum at the Grove, Glenview, 10AM-4PM, help create a pop up museum with items found on the trails
  • March 29 Museums After Dark, Aurora, 5PM-8PM, special STEM activities, fill out a passport to enter in a raffle for free membership, free admission
Friday, March 30:
  • March 30 Spring Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza, Mundelein, 10AM-11AM, age groups at different times, free, bring a bag, ages 2-7, also a free petting zoo
  • March 30 Marshmallow Drop, Evanston, 11AM, James Park, 11AM-12PM, different age groups, marshmallows dropped by helicopter, free
Saturday, March 31:

  • April 1 Build-a-Tree Workshop, Morton Arboretum, Lisle, 11AM-4PM, weather permitting, build a tree from natural items and recyclables in Children's Garden, free with admission
  • April 1 Searching for Sasquatch, River Trail Nature Center, free scavenger hunt available throughout the day
  • April 1 April Fools! Crabtree Nature Center, Barrington, 1PM, 1.5 mile hike to look for signs of spring, free
  • April 1 What's on the Menu? River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 3PM, learn about native animals during feeding time for River Trail residents, free
On Easter, Chicago Botanic Garden, Morton Arboretum and our preserves are open.
