  • February 10 - March 25 The Orchid Show, Chicago Botanic Garden, a much needed tropical infusion in the middle of winter, Tickets are:Adults: $10/$12 Seniors 62+: $8/$10 *Children age 3–12: $8/$10 Parking is $25 per car; Purchase tickets online to ensure availability
  • January 20-March 30 XOXO An Exhibit on Love and Forgiveness, Arlington Heights Memorial Library
  • March 17 - June 3 Simply Spring Butterfly Exhibit, Nicholas Conservatory in Rockford, enjoy butterflies flying freely in the conservatory, witness all of the butterfly life cycle, $6 resident, $8 non, $4 and $6 for seniors, kids 5-17 and veterans, Ages 3-4 $2, under 3 free, check website for times. ***Tropical Tuesdays Admission is $3.**
  • March 22-April 8 The 9th Annual International PEEPS® Art Exhibition at Racine Art Museum, see post for more info
  • March 10-25 Maple Syrup Hikes on weekends, Ryerson Woods, Riverwoods, 12PM-2PM every half hour, see tapping in process, see how tap turns to sap, $6 pp, children under 3 free, must register: 847-968-3321

  • March 24 - 25 Free Lego Show, Palatine Public Library, 9AM-5PM (Sat); 12PM-4PM (Sun), free
  • March 24 Making Maple Syrup Stick!, Prisco Community Center, Aurora, 9AM-2PM, breakfast with real maple syrup, ride to and from Red Oak Nature Center where naturalists will teach you how maple syrup is made, $5 pp resident, $7 non, family of four $15/$21
  • March 24 & 25  Esconi Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show, DuPage County Fairgrounds, Wheaton, 10AM-5PM Sat, 10AM-4PM Sun, see displays, make purchases, bid, kids area -- kids 16 and under can break open a free geode, free admission
  • March 24 Dunn Museum Grand Opening, Libertyville, 10AM-5PM, free, see info about guided tours, learn Lake County history, meet Dryptosaurus dinosaur and the paleoartist, Tyler Keillor, who created her.
  • March 24 Downtown Hop Around, Kenosha, 10AM-1PM, bunny party with games, activities and more, hop around in downtown businesses looking for eggs, see website for more info
  • March 24 Community Egg Hunt, Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 10AM-11:30AM, after the hunt the museum will open its 5 buildings to learn AH history, historic games, kids 10 and under, $6 pp, must register
  • March 24 Long Grove Easter Egg Hunt, 10:30AM-12:00PM, ages 1-10, petting zoo, craft table and more
