The weekend is here! There are some real goodies on this week's list and some events that have been ongoing. Take a peek at these fun and local fun ideas for the weekend:

Ongoing through September 20 Butterflies and Blooms, Chicago Botanic Garden, 10AM-5PM, reserve timed entry with Chicago Botanic Garden, tickets for event will be at ticket booth in the garden, Adults: $8, Seniors: $7, Children (3–12 yrs): $6 Children (2 and under): Free, Members receive $1 off each price Garden Plus members are free on Wednesdays, parking $30 per car; social distancing measures are being practiced, masks are required in the Butterfly Enclosure

Ongoing through August 31: Ongoing through August 31: Wilmette History Mystery Tour: https://www.wilmettehistory.org/ Download clues or visit the museum for a booklet and solve a mystery! The museum is open Sunday-Thursday 1PM-4:30PM; those under 13 that solve the mystery qualify for a free Lou Malnati's personal pizza.

August 1 through September 1:Elmhurst Clue Game, download game and travel around Elmhurst looking for clues, use your deductive reasoning to determine the suspect, object and location, free, those with correct answers will win a museum swag bag!

Ongoing - third Saturday in September, Butterfly House, Peck Farm, Geneva, must wear a mask, social distancing protocols in use and must be honored, $2 per person, $5 per person, Monday - Saturday 10AM-4PM; Sunday 12PM-4PM

August 8 Nature Walks at Fullersburg Woods; 45 minute walks starting on the hour at 9AM, 10AM, 11AM, 12PM, 1PM and 2PM, $2 per person, must wear a mask and maintain 6 foot distances from others, those under 18 must be accompanied by and adult, registration not required

August 8  Royal's Virtual Adventures present LONG DISTANCE MAGIC with mini short from Royal Princess Parties:  Info from Royal Princess Parties: "Rated G - For All Ages; 7PM-7:45PM

The Ice Princess takes families along on her virtual journey as she involves her friends in her adventures of mishap, regret and problem solving in the mini short The Bookish Disaster. (4 Characters: Belle, Tinkerbelle, Snow White & Ice Princess)

Long Distance Magic plans are being made in this Live Action Virtual Experience for a Princess who is feeling very lonely and shut away from the world. Have no fear though - she won't be lonely for long when our Hero of the story gathers the Princesses to help make some long distance magic. (4 Characters: Eugene, Rapunzel, Snow Queen, Way Finder)

August 9  Chalk the Walk Obstacle Course at Belmont, Arlington Heights, 12PM-5PM, enjoy the obstacle course set up by the Arlington Heights Memorial Library Advisory Board, located at 112 N Belmont Ave
