C.I.T.Y. of Support Online Rockin’ Shoppin’ Event Bolstering Support for Families with Children in Therapy

Recently, I learned about the fantastic Chicago suburban nonprofit C.I.T.Y. of Support after connecting with founder Beth Deiter. C.I.T.Y. of Support provides families of children in therapy with important resources and a nurturing community for sharing experiences and celebrating their journeys. Currently, C.I.T.Y. of Support is busy spreading cheer while raising vital funds during Online Rockin' and Shoppin' in the C.I.T.Y. featuring a virtual small business shopping experience. This special event runs from November 1-14 allowing shoppers time to peruse and purchase from a unique collection of 50 small businesses, each offering a special discount. Additionally, there is raffle the first week (November 1-7, 2020) only.

Beth has shared with me a little more about the mission of  C.I.T.Y. of Support as well as how you can help this remarkable organization during Online Rockin' and Shoppin' in the C.I.T.Y. What a wonderful opportunity to get ahead on holiday shopping while supporting small businesses and an incredible organization!

Bike Bald helps children facing cancer

**Disclosure: No compensation was received for this post. I love bringing attention to local charities!

So many great charity events this spring! In May, Bike Bald will be holding its 24-hour Spinathon May 20-21 on the Naperville Riverwalk. All proceeds go to Bike Bald to support their programs helping and uplifting children facing cancer and other devastating illnesses. There are various ways to participate including signing up for a time as an individual or creating a team. Riders ride for 1 hour at a time on a stationary bike at their own paces. The event features instructor-led, dance spin hours. Bike Bald helps children fighting life threatening illnesses and their families through various programs including the Pedal Express which sends the children handmade cards, new toys, arts & crafts supplies and gift cards. For more on Bike Bald, head over to my interview with Nicole Cavanaugh.

Local Charity Spotlight on PATH: Palatine Assisting Through Hope

Monday, February 8, 2016

Today, I continue February's series highlighting local charities. Last year, I learned about a Palatine organization called PATH which helps local families in need and am thrilled to share this charity with you. Standing for Palatine Assisting Through Hope, PATH provides a means that community members can reach out and help local families struggling to meet their own basic needs. The network that PATH has created and continues to expand in the community not only helps families in crisis but also strengthens the fabric of the community as a whole.
